WHY US IFRS?

International Financial Reporting Standards

The IFRS® Foundation is a not-for-profit international organization responsible for developing a single set of high-quality global accounting standards, known as IFRS Standards.

Our mission is to develop standards that bring transparency, accountability and efficiency to financial markets around the world. Our work serves the public interest by fostering trust growth and long-term financial stability in the global economy.

International organizations responsible for the well-being of the global economy support our work, including the G 20, the Financial Stability Board and the World Bank.

IFRS Standards are now required in more than 140 jurisdictions, with many others permitting their use.
